Super Star Sports Club
The Super Star Sports Club is an official non-profit club of the United States Track and Field Association (USATF) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). We serve the extended Amarillo area and are dedicated to providing opportunity for participation in track and field activities. Our club is open to all ages and abilities and there are no prerequisites for membership. Our goal is to encourage and facilitate physical activity in a safe, positive environment, and to provide opportunity for personal development through track and field athletics. We emphasize establishing and attaining individual goals in pursuit of personal excellence by physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. We also support competitive endeavors and provide the means and opportunity for participation in recreational and elite competitions.
We set our athletes up for success through correct physical preparation and progressive skill development. We strongly believe that athletes must be physically prepared before attempting athletic skills, and provide safe, controlled physical conditioning to that end. We endeavor to build a positive self-image within each athlete through goal-setting, motivation, and the pursuit of excellence. We advocate and demonstrate a healthy lifestyle, abstinence from drug and alcohol use, making good food choices, getting adequate rest, and practicing self-motivation, self-discipline, and self-respect.
We provide regular practice sessions throughout the year. Our schedule changes with the seasons so please visit our Schedule & Calendar page to find our current practice locations and times as well as recreational and competitive opportunities.
A membership in the Super Star Sports Club costs $20 per year and provides individuals with a membership in the United States Track and Field Association which includes sport accident insurance, USATF competition eligibility, a subscription to Fast Forward Magazine, opportunities to train with other athletes and learn from our highly qualified coaches. We offer training and conditioning for track and field events to Youth (8 - 18) , Open (19 - 29), and Masters (30 - 95) age divisions. We also assist athletes interested in participating in Amateur Athletic Union of the USA (AAU) and Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) competitions. Competing in AAU or TAAF events may trigger additional membership fees.

We require all of our athletes, regardless of sport, to become USATF members in order to train with us. This requirement is in place to ensure each athlete has adequate sport accident insurance coverage in place. This may be waived if the athlete is a member of another organization providing similar sport accident insurance and we are included as coaches under the same policy. An example of a substitute organization is USA Volleyball.
More details about the Super Star Sports Club can be found in our Club Handbook - which will be available online soon. This handbook describes what athletes can expect from us, what we expect from our athletes, provides guidelines for parents, and outlines basic rules and competition procedures.
To register with us, please bring your completed Registration Forms with you to your first training session.
