Cross Country
2011 Fall: Caleb Cobb is the new UIL Conference 1A, Region 1, District 5 Cross Country Champion! Caleb represented Clarendon Junior High School Boys Cross Country Team in Plainview, TX on October 17th and ran a time of 12:10 to win the two-mile race. Caleb: we are very proud of you, your hard work, and your dedication. We wish you well and support you in your continuing pursuit of excellence.

2011 Fall: Congratulations to Briggs Wittlake who competed at the UIL Lathrop Memorial Stampede in Canyon, TX on October 8th the two mile race. Briggs finished FIRST amongst Junior High Boys with a time of 11:40.

2011 Fall: Congratulations to Samantha Scoggins, Briggs Wittlake, and Caleb Cobb who competed at the UIL Canyon Invitational Cross Country Meet in Canyon, TX on October 8th the two mile race. Samantha finished FIRST amongst Junior Varsity Girls with a time of 13:09; Briggs finished FIRST amongst Junior High Boys with a time of 11:20; and Caleb finished SECOND in the same group with a time of 11:45.

2011 Fall: Congratulations to Blake Frow, Briggs Wittlake, and Caleb Cobb who competed at the UIL Plainview Annual Cross Country Meet in Plainview, TX on September 17th in the two mile race for Grade 7 and 8. Blake finished TENTH amongst Girls with a time of 12:29 minutes; Briggs finished FIRST with a time of 11:07, and Caleb finished SECOND with a time of 11:53 minutes amongst Boys.

2011 Fall: Congratulations to Briggs Wittlake and Caleb Cobb who competed at the UIL Borger Invitational Cross Country Meet in Borger, TX on September 3rd in the Grade 7 and 8 Boys category. In the two mile race, Briggs finished FIRST with a time of 10:53 minutes, and Caleb finished SECOND with a time of 11:30 minutes.

2011 Summer: Congratulations to Rufina Sakirkin who competed at the USATF Junior Olympics National Championships in Wichita, KS on July 25th - 30th in the Intermediate Girls age category, finishing NINTH in her flight in Triple Jump and twenty-fourth overall amongst a field of thirty-eight of the best competitors from across the United States. Rufina's result was 9.72 meters (31' 10.75").

2011 Summer: The Super Star Sports Track Team traveled to Arlington, TX for the USATF Region 12 Junior Olympic Championships on July 5th through 10th and accomplished seven new personal best records. This meet is a qualifier for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships. In the Youth Boys age division (13 - 14 years) Caleb Cobb finished ELEVENTH in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:22.89 seconds setting a new personal best; EIGHTH in the 400 Meter Sprint with a time of 1:01.71 seconds matching his personal best, and FOURTEENTH in Long Jump with a mark of 4.64 meters (15' 2¾") setting a new personal best; in the Midget Boys age division (11 - 12 years) Joshua Cobb finished EIGHTH in the 80 Meter Hurdles with a time of 0:16.46 seconds setting a new personal best, FIFTEENTH in Long Jump with a mark of 3.96 meters (13' 0"), and EIGHTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:15.33 seconds; in the Intermediate Girls age division (15 - 16 years) Destiny Montgomery finished ELEVENTH in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.36 meters (14' 3¾"), and EIGHTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:13.95 seconds setting a new personal best; in the Youth Girls age division (13 - 14 years) Mary Oweyo finished SEVENTEENTH in the Long Jump with a mark of 3.08 meters (10' 1¼") setting a new personal best; in the Youth Girls age division (13 - 14 years) Samantha Scoggins finished FIFTEENTH in the Long Jump with a mark of 3.80 meters (12' 5½"), EIGHTH in the 200 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:29.89 seconds; and in the Intermediate Girls age division (15 - 16 years) Rufina Sakirkin finished NINTH in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.78 meters (15' 8"), EIGHTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:13.80 seconds, and FOURTH in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.22 meters (33' 6½") setting a new personal best and qualifying for the National Championships.

2011 Summer: The Super Star Sports Track Team traveled to Odessa, TX for the USATF West Texas Association Junior Olympic Championships on June 17th and 18th. Every athlete on the team qualified to advance to the USATF Regional Championships. In the Youth Boys age division (13 - 14 years) Caleb Cobb finished SECOND in the 400 Meter Sprint with a time of 1:02 setting a new personal best record; SECOND in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:23.84, and FOURTH in Long Jump with a mark of 4.52 meters (14' 10"); in the Midget Boys age division (11 - 12 years) Joshua Cobb finished FIRST in the 80 Meter Hurdles with a time of 0:17.19 seconds, THIRD in Long Jump with a mark of 4.05 meters (13' 3¾"), and FOURTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:15.15 seconds; in the Intermediate Girls age division (15 - 16 years) Destiny Montgomery finished FIRST in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 0:16.07, SECOND in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.64 meters (15' 2¾"), and THIRD in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:13.96 seconds; in the Youth Girls age division (13 - 14 years) Mary Oweyo finished FIFTH in the Long Jump with a mark of 2.94 meters (9' 7¾"), TWELFTH in the 200 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:34.37 seconds, and THIRTEENTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:16.20 seconds; in the Youth Girls age division (13 - 14 years) Samantha Scoggins finished FIRST in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.29 meters (14' 1½"), FOURTH in the 200 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:29.87 seconds, and SIXTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:14.55 seconds (Preliminary time 0:14.51 seconds); and in the Intermediate Girls age division (15 - 16 years) Rufina Sakirkin finished FIRST in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.83 meters (15' 10½"), FIRST in the Triple Jump with a mark of 9.62 meters (31' 6¾"), and SECOND in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 0:13.56 seconds.

2011 Summer: Briggs Wittlake competed in the Brandy Lee Memorial 5K Race in Amarillo, TX on June 11th finishing FIRST in his age group and seventh overall with a time of 18:59.

2011 Summer: Congratulations to Raeana Mayo and Mary Oweyo who competed in the Hershey's Track & Field Games in Odessa, TX on June 11th. Raeana finished FIRST in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 13:53 seconds, FIRST in the Softball Throw with a distance of 53.09 meters (174' 2"), and FIRST in the Standing Long Jump with a mark of 2.16 m (7' 1"). Mary finished SECOND in the Softball Throw with a distance of 25.48 meters (83' 7"), THIRD in the Standing Long Jump with a mark of 1.93 meters (6' 4"), and FIFTH in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 15:47 seconds.

2011 Spring: Rufina Sakirkin competed at the West Texas United Fun Run in Odessa, TX on June 3rd in the Intermediate Girls age category, finishing FIRST in Triple Jump with a result of 10.04 meters (31' 11.25"), FIRST in Long Jump with a result of 4.53 meters (14' 10.5"), and SECOND in the 100 Meter Sprint with a time of 12.6 seconds setting a new personal best record.

2011 Spring: Briggs Wittlake competed in the How the West Was Run 5K race in Amarillo, TX on May 21st finishing THIRD amongst men under 19 years with a time of 18:22.

2011 Summer: Raeana Mayo competed in the Canyon Intermediate School Field Day in Canyon, TX on May 19th finishing FIRST in the 50 Meter Sprint with a time of 6:23 seconds, FIRST in the Softball Throw with a distance of 52.6 meters (172' 6"), and FIRST in the 4 x 100 Meter Relay.
Swimming
2011 Spring: Marina Cummiskey represented the Kodiak Kingfisher Swim Club at the Alaska Swimming Junior Olympics State Championships in Anchorage, AK on April 28th - May 1st. In the Girls 11 -12 age group, Marina finished FIFTH in the 400 Yard Medley Relay (5:05.07 seconds, split 1:14.96), SIXTH in the 50 Yard Backstroke (0:34.86 seconds), 16th in the 50 Yard Freestyle Preliminary (0:30.64 seconds), 13th in the 500 Yard Freestyle Preliminary (6:37.80 seconds), FOURTH in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (4:25.71 seconds, split 1:10.89), FOURTH in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (2:17.56 seconds, split 0:35.03), 16th in the 100 Yard Freestyle Preliminary (1:06.20, SEVENTH in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:14.07 seconds), SIXTH in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (2:01.40 seconds, split 0:30.88), SIXTH in the 200 Yard Backstroke (2:36.82 seconds), and 13th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Preliminary (2:28.29 seconds).
Marathon
2011 Spring: Briggs Wittlake and Shari Wittlake competed in the Oklahoma City Half-Marathon in Oklahoma City, OK on May 1st. Twelve year-old Briggs ran a time of 1:39.24 finishing 13th amongst 127 men under 19, 150th amongst all 2917 men, 171st amongst all 7678 runners, and 1st amongst all 76 runners from Amarillo, TX. Shari ran a time of 2:18.37 finishing 161st amongst 548 women 40-44, 1490th amongst all 4761 women, and 3253rd amongst all 7678 runners. Congratulation to both Briggs and Shari for setting new personal best records.
Swimming
2011 Spring: Congratulations to Marina Cummiskey and Devon Cummiskey for their performances at the Kodiak Kingfishers Swim Club Home Meet on April 8 - 9. In the Girls 11 -12 age group, Marina finished FIRST in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:39.61 s), FIRST in the Open 500 Yard Freestyle (6:30.05), SECOND in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (0:46.17 s), and SECOND in the 100 Yard Individual Medley (1:21.79). Marina qualified for the Alaska Junior Olympics State Championships to be held in Anchorage, AK on April 28th. In the Girls 10 & under age group, eight year-old Devon finished FOURTH in 50 Yard Freestyle (0:42.98 s) and SECOND in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (0:54.69), and in the Open age group (14 and under) Devon finished FIFTH in the 200 Yard Breastsroke (4:01.47 s), and FIFTH in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:53.55). These athletes swim for the Kodiak Kingfishers Swim Club in Kodiak, Alaska and are coached by John Lindquist.

2011 Spring: Barak Wittlake competed at the AISD Middle School Track meet in Amarillo, TX on April 11th finishing FIRST in Boys Triple Jump with a result of 11.13 meters (36' 6"); SIXTH in Boys Shot Put with a throw of 10.81 meters (35' 5.5"); and THIRD in Boys Discus Throw with a toss of 34.87 meters (114' 5").

2011 Spring: Twelve year-old Briggs Wittlake finished SECOND in the 19 & Under age division, and was 11th out of 134 total competitors in the Run for the Hills 7K on April 10th in Amarillo, TX with a time of 29:09.

2011 Spring: Results from the North Plains Relays held in Dumas, TX on April 8th are as follows: Rachel Amyette competed in Varsity Girls Triple Jump with a result of 9.93 meters (32' 7"); Destiny Montgomery finished FOURTH in Varsity Girls Long Jump with a length of 4.87 meters (16' 0"); and Rufina Sakirkin finished FOURTH in Varsity Girls Triple Jump with a length of 10.34 meters (33' 11"), and FIFTH in Varsity Girl's Long Jump with a length of 4.85 meters (15' 11").

2011 Spring: Caleb Cobb representing Clarendon, TX earned a position on the USSSA Amarillo Hawks Baseball Team and played the positions of pitcher, 3rd baseman, and left fielder in the Spring Classic Tournament on March 26th and 27th in Amarillo, TX. The Hawks defeated Hereford, Portales, and Bushland to win the Championship Title in the 14 & Under Boys division.

2011 Spring: Barak Wittlake competed for Crockett Middle School at an AISD Track Meet in Amarillo, TX on March 29th and placed FIRST in Boys Shot Put with a throw of 11.15 meters (36' 7"), and FOURTH in Boys Triple Jump with a length of 10.39 meters (34' 1").

2011 Spring: Results from the Amarillo Relays held in Amarillo, TX on March 24th-25th are as follows: Barak Wittlake finished SECOND in 8th Grade Boys Shot Put with a throw of 11.16 meters (36' 7.5"). In 8th Grade Boys Discus he threw 29.34 meters (96' 3"), and in 8th Grade Boys Triple Jump jumped 10.08 meters (33' 1"). Rachel Amyette jumped 9.68 meters (31' 9") in Varsity Girls Triple Jump. Destiny Montgomery jumped 4.42 meters (14' 6") in Varsity Girls Long Jump. Rufina Sakirkin jumped 4.84 meters (15' 10.75") in Varsity Girls Long Jump, and 9.81 meters (32' 2.25") in Varsity Girls Triple Jump.

2011 Winter: Results from the City Bank Tiger Relays held in Wolfford, TX on February 25th and 26th are as follows: Logan Brittain finished FIRST in Boys High Jump with a height of 2.13 meters (7' 0") establishing a new meet record, new school record, and new personal best record, he also finished SECOND in Boys Long Jump with a length of 6.60 meters (21' 7.75"); Marcus Burk finished sixth in his flight and twelfth overall in Boys Shot Put with a throw of 12.40 meters (40' 8"); Destiny Montgomery finished thirteenth in Girls Long Jump with a length of 4.50 meters (14' 9"); Rufina Sakirkin finished ninth in Girls Triple Jump with a length of 10.11 meters (33' 2"), and sixteenth in Girls Long Jump with a length of 4.37 meters (14' 5.5"); and Philip Terry placed fourth in his heat and tenth overall in the Boys 400m with a time of 0:55.46 seconds.

2011 Winter: Chris Seals completed the Houston Chevron Marathon on January 30th in Houston, TX with a time of 3:17.45 finishing 43rd in the Mens 35 - 39 age category.
Tennis
2010 Fall: Kati Mdzinarishvili finished her freshman season at Hudson High School with a 19-1 record after the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division Championship on Friday, October 1st. After earning a first-round bye Kati won the semifinals (6-0, 6-0) and went on to win the finals (6-0, 6-1).

2010 Fall: The Hudson High School Girls Tennis Team improved their season record to 14-1 with a 4-1
victory in the Northeast Ohio Conference on Wednesday, September
22nd in Stow-Munroe Falls, Ohio thanks to wins by Kati Mdzinarishvili (6-1, 6-0). Kati repeated her performance again (6-2, 7-6) in a second tournament the next day in Columbus, Ohio. On September 30th she scored (6-1, 6-3) in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association tournament.
Football
2010 Fall: Congratulations to Raeana Mayo of the Super Star Sports Club on defending her title for the third year running in the NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick Contest held in Amarillo, TX on Saturday, September 25th. Raeana will advance to defend her Sectional title in Lubbock next month and surpass her results from this weekend: Punt - 15.92 meters (52' 5"), Pass - 19.74 meters (64' 9"), Kick - 22.63 meters (74' 3"), for a Total distance - 55.34 meters (191' 5").

2010 Fall: Kati Mdzinarishvili's decisive wins (6-0, 6-0) contributed to Hudson High School's victory against Glen Oak High School in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association match held on Wednesday, September 8th, in Canton, Ohio. With their win the Lady Explorers advance to the next round in the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division.

2010 Summer: Samara Diaz represented Super Star Sports Club at the AAU Junior Olympic National Championships in Norfolk, VA from July 31st - August 7th. Samara competed in three Bantam events and approached her personal best times in all three races with excellent performances: 100 meters - 0:16.78, 200 meters - 0:34.35, and the 400 meters - 1:17.90. We are very proud of you Samara!

2010 Summer: Super Star Sports Club results from the 2010 USATF National Masters Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, CA on July 22th - 25th: Mark Barinque was FIFTH (THIRD American) in Long Jump - 5.53 meters (18' 1.75") and FIFTH (THIRD American) in Triple Jump - 10.82 meters (35' 6.00"); Oleg Sakirkin (Men 40-45) was THIRD in Long Jump - 6.14 meters (20' 1.75"), FIRST in Triple Jump - 12.36 meters (40' 6.75"); and Sharon Sakirkin (Women 40-45), was THIRD in Long Jump - 3.91 meters (12' 10.00"), THIRD in High Jump - 1.24 m (4' 0.75"), and THIRD in Triple Jump- 8.20 meters (26' 11.00"). Also from Amarillo, Bart Thomas (Men 35 - 40) finished SECOND in the Long Jump - 6.53 meters (21' 5.25") and FIRST in the Javelin Throw - 58.93 meters (193' 4").

2010 Summer: Every athlete from the Super Star Sports Club brought home a Gold medal in every one of their events from the AAU West Texas National Qualifiers in Abilene, TX on July 2nd - 3rd: Marcus Burk (Intermediate Boys), was FIRST in Shot Put - 12.19 meters (40' 0"); Samara Diaz (Bantam Girls) was FIRST in the 100 meters - 0:16.78, FIRST in the 200 meters - 0:34.31, and FIRST in the 400 meters -1:16.26; Ali Hassan (Young Men) was FIRST in the 800 meters - 2:02.00, and FIRST in the 1500 meters 4:23.73; and Philip Terry was FIRST in the 400 meters - 0:55.93. All of these athletes qualified to compete at the AAU National Junior Olympic Championships in Norfolk, VA. Receiving Byes to the National JO Championships based on previous performance marks were Jordan Coonts (Young Women) in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, and Destiny Montgomery (Youth Girls) in the 100 meters and Long Jump.

2010 Summer: Super Star Sports Club was present at three meets the last weekend of June and collected fourteen medals, ten of them Gold. Allen Simms placed 12th in Men's Triple Jump at the USATF National Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, IA on June 25th with a distance of 15.76 meters (51' 8½") [wind +1.8 m/s]. Allen is coached by Oleg and Sharon Sakirkin. Three athletes participated in the 6th Annual Cepero Meet in Odessa, TX on Jun 25th and 26th: Raeana Mayo (Sub-Midget Girls) was FIRST in Shot Put - 7.75 meters (25' 5"), SECOND in Long Jump - 43.05 meters (13' 4"), and SECOND in the 100 meters - 0:15.71; Jordan Coonts (Young Women) was FOURTH in Long Jump - 4.27 meters (14' 0¼"); and Ali Hassan (Young Men) was FIRST in the 800 meters - 2:02.95, SECOND in the 400 meters - 0:52.08, and was one of ten recipients of a $1,000 college scholarship. Five athletes competed at the Heartland Open/Masters Outdoor Meet in Kansas City, MO on June 26th. Melissa Anderson (Women 35-40) was FIRST in High Jump - 1.05 meters (3' 5¼"); James Anderson (Men 35-40) was FIRST in Javelin - 38.25 meters (125' 6"), and SECOND in the 100 meters - 0:15.25; Oleg Sakirkin (Men 40-45) broke the Asian Record for his age group and was FIRST in Triple Jump - 14.00 meters (45' 11"); and Sharon Sakirkin (Women 40-45) was FIRST in Long Jump - 3.84 meters (12' 7"), FIRST in Triple Jump - 8.27 meters (27' 1½"), FIRST in High Jump - 1.20 meters (3' 11"), FIRST in the 400 meters - 1:18.69, and FIRST in the 100 meters - 0:16.42.
Track and Field 2010 Summer: Six members of the Super Star Sports Club brought home twelve medals from the USATF West Texas Track and Field Championships in Odessa, TX on June 18th and 19th: Marcus Burk (Intermediate Boys), FIRST in Shot Put - 11.93 m (39' 2.0") and FIRST in Javelin - 15.24m (50' 0.0"); Jordan Coonts (Young Women), SECOND in Long Jump - 4.40 m (14' 5.50"), SECOND in Triple Jump - 10.02 m (32' 10.5"), THIRD in the 100 meters - 0:14.36, and FOURTH in the 200 meters - 0:29.52; Samara Diaz (Bantam Girls) was SECOND in the 100 meters - 0:16.12 (15.82q), and SECOND in the 200 meters - 0:33.75, and FIRST in the 400 meters - 1:17.15; Ali Hassan (Young Men) was FIFTH in the 200 meters - 0:25.05, FOURTH in the 400 meters - 0:52.70, and FIRST in the 800 meters with a time of 2:02.35; and Destiny Montgomery (Youth Girls) was FOURTH in the 100 meters - 0:14.79, FOURTH in the 200 meters - 0:29.49, and SECOND in Long Jump - 4.72 m (15' 6.0"); and Philip Terry (Youth) was FIRST in the 400 meters - 0:56.01. All of these athletes qualified to participate in the USATF National Junior Olympic Qualifier next month.

2010 Summer: Six members of the Super Star Sports Club brought home seventeen medals, ten of them Gold, from the AAU West Texas Track and Field Championships in Midland, TX on June 12th: Marcus Burk (Intermediate Boys), FIRST in Shot Put - 11.67 m (38' 4.0"); Jordan Coonts (Young Women), FIRST in Long Jump - 4.53 m (14' 10.0"), FIRST in Triple Jump - 10.05 m (33' 0"), and SECOND in the 100 meters - 0:14.44; Samara Diaz (Bantam Girls) was FIRST in the 100 meters - 0:16.98, and FIRST in the 200 meters - 0:34.07, and FIRST in the 400 meters - 1:19.84; Ali Hassan (Young Men) was FIRST in the 100 meters - 0:12.54, FIRST in the 200 meters - 0:23.90, FIRST in the 800 meters - 2:02.25, and THIRD in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:50.00; Raeana Mayo (Sub-Midget Girls) was FIRST in Shot Put - 7.19 meters (23' 7.0"), SECOND in Long Jump - 4.01 meters (13' 2.0"), and SECOND in the 100 meters - 0:15.02; and Destiny Montgomery (Youth Girls) was SECOND in the 100 meters hurdles - 0:20.76, SECOND in Long Jump - 4.42 m (14' 6.0"), THIRD in the 100 meters - 0:14.92, and FOURTH in the 200 meters - 0:31.04. All of these athletes qualified to participate in the AAU Junior Olympic National Qualifier next month.

2010 Spring: Logan Brittan tied for third in Boys High Jump at the 35th Great Southwest Track and Field Classic hosted by the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM on June 5th. Logan equaled his personal all-time best jump of 2.08 m (6' 10") in this invitation-only meet. Logan represented Randall High School and is coached by Amy Rice and Jay Belcher with support from Oleg and Sharon Sakirkin.

2010 Spring: We are very proud of Kati Mdzinarishvili for her efforts at the USTA National Open Championships held at College Park, Maryland from May 22nd - 26th. Kati played four strong matches (6/1, 6/1 vs. M. Audeh; 0/6, 0/6 vs. N. Frenkel; 6/4, 6/2 vs. M. Bridgham; and 0/6, 2/6 vs. N. Ndunda) and raised her national ranking amongst 3,000 14 year-old girls from 1040 to 750. Kati is coached by Alex Mdzinarishvili.

2010 Spring: Congratulations to Raeana Mayo for her performances at the Canyon Intermediate School Track and Field Meet on Friday May 21st. Raeana placed first in both her events amongst fifth grade girls with a 100 m sprint time of 15.41 s and a 46.6 m (153') softball throw. Raeana is coached by Oleg and Sharon Sakirkin.

2010 Spring: Our outdoor track & field training and conditioning programs begin on Monday, May 3rd and will run throughout the summer. We will offer complete training for track & field events including at least triple jump, long jump, high jump, sprints, and hurdles. General conditioning is open to athletes from any sport. All sessions will be held on the track at Randall or Amarillo high schools, and during inclement weather at the Courts of Amarillo. We will offer multiple training times during the mornings and evenings, on weekdays and weekends. 2010 Spring: Congratulations to Marina Cummiskey her performances at the Alaska Swimming Junior Olympics Championship held in Anchorage, Alaska on April 15 - 18. Marina swam in the 10 and under age group and recorded personal best times in all of her events. She finished 5th in the 200 yard freestyle relay (2:19.78: anchor split 32.93 s), 6th in the 200 yard medley relay (2:46.18; backstroke split 48.00), 6th in the 100 yard freestyle (1:12.50 s), 8th in the 100 yard backstroke (1:23.94 s), 10th in the 50 yard backstroke (39.16 s), and 13th in the 50 yard freestyle (33.13 s). Marina swims for the Kodiak Kingfishers Swim Club in Kodiak, Alaska and is coached by John Lindquist.

2010 Spring: Congratulations to Marina Cummiskey and Devon Cummiskey for their performances at the Kodiak Kingfishers Swim Club Home Meet on April 2 - 3. In the 10 and under age group, Marina finished first in five events: 100 yard freestyle (1:13.50 s), 100 yard backstroke (1:28.40 s), 200 yard freestyle relay (2:25.00; split 34.23 s), 25 yard freestyle (34.33 s), 50 yard backstroke (41.38 s), and third in the 50 yard breaststroke (53.20 s). She qualified for the Alaska Junior Olympics in the four freestyle and backstroke events. In the same age category seven-year-old Devon finished eighth in the 100 yard freestyle (1:49.18 s). In the 8 and under age group, Devon finished first in the 100 yard freestyle relay (1:41.08; split 39.59 s), 25 yard backstroke (26.08 s), and the 25 yard breaststroke (34.09 s). She finished second in the 25 yard backstroke (26.08 s). These athletes swim for the Kodiak Kingfishers Swim Club in Kodiak, Alaska and are coached by John Lindquist.

Congratulations also to Paris Paetzold who placed fourth with a triple jump of 10.37 m (34' ¼"), Robin Louden for her fifth place triple jump of 10.34 m (33' 11"), Victoria Ewulo for earning third place with her high jump of 1.62 m (5' 4"), and Allison Martinez for her second place long jump of 5.14 m (16' 10½"). 2010 Winter: Andi Rose of Canyon High School has signed to join the Lubbock Christian
University (LCU) Lady Chaparrals volleyball squad under head coach Jennifer Lawrence. Andi is currently the team captain for the Canyon High School varsity volleyball team under head
coach Lorrie Hammit, and she trains with Oleg and Sharon Sakirkin. Andi produced 337 kills, 73
aces, 195 digs and 65 blocks this season and claimed First Team
All-District honors for a second consecutive season. Super Star Sports congratulates Andi on her volleyball scholarship and wishes her a bright future at LCU.

2009-Jan: Kati Mdzinarishvili of Amarillo, TX has qualified to compete at the United States Tennis Association National Open Championships to be held in El Paso, Texas at the El Paso Tennis Center on February 14th.

2009-Jan: West Texas A&M University has revived their men's and women's track and field program and contracted Darren Flowers as Head Coach. Recently the university announced a commitment to construct new outdoor facilities and provide more opportunities for students in track and field. The men's team will begin competing in the Spring of 2009 and the women will begin in the Spring of 2010.
Ice Skating
2008-Dec: The Amarillo Ice Skating School has announced an agreement with Amarillo College to offer instructional classes in ice skating with the Continuing Education Department and Kids College. Classes will be available starting in January for children and adults from beginner to intermediate skill levels.
Gymnastics
2008-Nov: Amarillo Competitive Gymnastics Team has acquired the services of choreographer Sharon Sakirkin. Gymnasts at Level 6 and higher can take advantage of this tremendous opportunity to have professionally choreographed floor and beam routines. Music editing services are also available.

2006-Dec: The Concho Valley Ice Sports Association proudly introduces themselves. This newly-formed consortium is dedicated to a cooperative effort at improving the quality and opportunity for ice sports in the Concho Valley region. Member associations include the Concho Valley Ice Skating School, the San Angelo Amateur Hockey Association, the San Angelo Adult Hockey League, the San Angelo Saints Professional Hockey Team (Concho Valley Pro Hockey), and the Storm Varsity Hockey Teams (San Angelo Central High School).
